Hullbay Hideaway - the bar nearest to the beach is a favorite hangout for locals. Sit next to a Fisherman, learn a bit about the French Heritage on the island and soak up the good vibes where Dave the bartender will make you some awesomely fresh drinks.
When to go? Open every night, get there for the sunset and enjoy the happy hour. Sunday's usually have live music in the late afternoon.

Room with a View: A culinary institution on St.Thomas opened for over 20 years. Upscale dining and an impressive wine and spirits selection.
When to go: A must for sunsets which happen during their perfectly timed happy hour. small plates and wine for $5. Almost every seat gives on to a panoramic view of the Charlotte Amalie Harbor. Sit at the bar or on the terrace.
Emerald Beach Resort: Call in advance to order your fresh, locally caught lobsters and ask for a special table on the terrace for an unforgettable candle lit dinner and the ambiant sound of waves gracing Lindbergh Bay. 340-777-8800 . Not a fan of lobsters? Locals flock there on Friday for their extensive Caribbean buffet & live steel pan music.
In town, don't miss out on Virgilio's for the incredible ambiance and Cafe Amelia for authentic Spain fusion cuisine in Palm Passage. Blue Orchid and Epernay respectively near Magen's Bay and in Frenchtown.

The Great Wall: Nestled in the Havensight shopping area on the left this Chinese restaurant serves the best Chinese on island in quality and taste.
Beni Iguanas: Also located in Havensight, for the best quality and authentic sushi on island. Don't forget to ask for their secret ingredient sauce - the Iguana Sauce - no relation to actual iguanas!
